What is As Written?

As UC Berkeley’s Premier Jewish Arts and Culture magazine, As Written attempts to thoughtfully represent the vibrancy of UC Berkeley’s Jewish Community. At its core, As Written seeks to amplify the diverse perspectives, identities, and backgrounds of Jewish students at UC Berkeley. As Written recognizes that no two Jewish stories are the same, and that artistic expression enables Jewish students to claim ownership of and share their experiences.  In order to create a more unified and pluralistic Jewish community, As Written hopes to serve as an accessible point of connection for Jewish students while underscoring the vibrancy of Jewish life at Cal.
